Managing Director

George Koiso, MAI, is a Principal and Senior Managing Director at Worth Valuations. With over 20 years of experience in real estate valuation, he has managed the production of over 5,000 appraisal assignments and has established a reputation as one of the most trusted multifamily appraisers in Southern California.
His focus today is on responsibly growing the firm, developing scalable quality control processes, and ensuring that Worth’s mission to solve complex problems the right way is consistently upheld across all assignments.

Mr. Koiso has extensive experience as an expert witness in property tax appeal matters, having been involved in over 100 cases and testifying under oath dozens of times. He continues to prepare valuation reports for litigation, arbitration, and consulting purposes.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Koiso served as a Review Appraiser for Chase (Commercial Term Lending), where he achieved the highest internal performance rating. He has also been a frequent speaker for financial institutions, presenting on topics such as multifamily market trends and valuation methodologies for both institutional and small balance assets. In addition, he has served as an adjunct instructor of Real Estate Appraisal at UCLA Extension.
Prior to co-founding Worth Valuations, Mr. Koiso spent 14 years with CBRE in its Valuation and Advisory Services group. Beginning his career as a trainee, he rose to lead the Los Angeles multifamily team. Under his leadership, the team became the fastest growing in the region and ultimately the largest multifamily appraisal team in the country, a position it maintained for many years.

Beyond technical expertise, Mr. Koiso is known for his focus on team development and long-term growth. Throughout his career, he has mentored numerous professionals, including seven individuals who obtained their California Certified General license before the age of 30 under his leadership. While his teams have consistently performed at a high level, he places equal importance on maintaining a culture grounded in trust, service, humanity and growth, which are core values to the firm he now leads.
