With a career spanning nearly 25 years, his work experience began as a generalist appraiser across all major property types. As his career progressed, his focus shifted to the multi-family sector as a production appraiser with Chase Bank, a general commercial review appraiser with First Republic Bank, an Associate Director in a generalist capacity at Curtis Rosenthal, Inc., and most recently the aforementioned Senior Director role with JLL.

Smith’s experience ranges from small owner-user properties to large institutional-grade multi-property portfolios, working with a variety of clients, including small and large lenders, insurance companies, investors, attorneys, accountants and private parties. He’s been recognized throughout his career for impressive quality, turnaround time and work volume.
With more than 20 years of experience in property valuation, appraisals involved property types that include but are not limited to market rate and affordable multifamily with consideration for existing and proposed construction, office, warehouses, factories, industrial distribution centers, heavy Industrial facilities, movie studios, television studios, medical facilities, restaurants, auto repair facilities, used car lots, mobile home parks, large and small land parcels/assemblages, mixed use properties, business parks, single-tenant retail, multi-tenant retail, grocery stores, food processing plants, schools and R & D facilities. He has worked with clients including small and large lenders, insurance companies, investors, attorneys, accountants and private parties.
